La Serra d'Arga es una sierra derivada de mi adorada Serra de A Peneda que se extiende desde esta hasta el mar, recorriendo los municipios de Melgaço, Monção, Ponte de Lima, Valença do Minho, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Caminha y Viana do Castelo.
Y uno de sus mayores activos es la llamada cascata do Pincho, en São Lourenço da Montaría, Viana do Castelo.
La cascata do Pincho es bastante mala de encontrar y hasta los GPS te hacen bastantes putaditas para llegar.
Si vas por Montaría, que en parte es lógico porque la cascada queda en esa freguesía, te va a meter por un camino de esos que evitan hasta las cabras... pero que aparecen en las cartografías de algunos GPS. Lo mejor es ir por la vecina Amonde.
En cuanto a la Serra d'Arga, aunque no la conozco bien la verdad es que no tiene muy buen aspecto: es monte pelado en su mayoría con algunos valles poblados enmedio y algunos miradores interesantes sobre el mar y sobre la desembocadura del Miño, como el de Nossa Senhora das Neves.
De hecho, parece que lo más interesante es esta cascada, y está rodeada de monte de eucalipto muy quemado. Seguiré investigando.
Una cosa más: esta sierra está siendo invadida por un arbusto de origen australiano y que ya habéis visto en alguna foto mía, como Fangorn o Poison Ivy. Que a nadie se le ocurra llevarse para casa uno de recuerdo: en casi todo Portugal es un problema bastante serio.
